Emergency aid for the Austrian Red Cross

OMV supported the Austria Red Cross during the COVID-19 pandemic (2020) and donated EUR 500.000 in the form of OMV fuel cards. The global spread of the coronavirus has abruptly changed the way society functions. The Red Cross is on a corona mission throughout Austria to help people. Alongside their regular tasks, they face additional challenges from the coronavirus pandemic and playing a central role in the nation’s crisis management. In order to provide support during the COVID-19 pandemic, OMV donated EUR 500.000 in the form of OMV fuel cards to the Austrian Red Cross. Thus, OMV helps them get around, which is an essential factor in delivering provisions and support to people in need as well as emergency aid. Besides the financial support OMV Austria donated 100 protective eye-glasses and 100 FFP3 masks to the Red Cross Gänserndorf operating in our neighboring communities in Austria.
